Modern Bok Fu

Bok-Fu, meaning “The Way of the White Tiger” is a Chinese system of martial arts that is composed of many different fighting arts including Kenpo and Kung Fu. Bok Fu uses softer, more flowing techniques than traditional Kung Fu. It is one of the few systems of martial arts founded and developed in the west that is recognized by it's consistent success in world competition.

Modern Bok Fu has added a combination of ideas and training methods from many different fighting cultures from around the world including Tae Kwon Do, JuJitsu and Kickboxing. This system will teach you to defend yourself against single or multiple attackers, stand up and ground defenses, offensive techniques, and weapons attacks - a full system for street survival.

Bok Fu is great for Kids too. It has easy to learn routines called "Katas" and stresses self discipline and respect. The Modern Way of the White Tiger will teach children much more than just physical movement. While your child is learning the skills to defend themselves, they will also be learning focus, courage, winning spirit and
perseverance throughout their training.

Bok Fu will teach your child about setting goals and working to reach those goals.

Learn as a family

Marinobles Modern Bok Fu is a great platform for you and your child to learn together and share the experience of martial arts. You can progress together and be able to share the strength and character it takes to work your way up the ranks and reach your goals as a team. • Origin of Bok Fu

In 1647 AD, the original Shaolin temple in Henan was almost completely destroyed by Ching troops armed with cannons. In the Traditional story the 5 elder monks are said to have survived and later influenced or created other styles based on the Shaolin arts. One of the surviving elders, Fung Sai Yuk, created Bok Fu or, Way of the White Tiger.

Fong Sai Yuk, founder of ancient Bok Fu Do, took refuge on Wu Dang Mountain in the Hubei Province. For two years Fong Sai Yuk traveled through mountains and nearby deserts gathering knowledge from the nomadic tribes. He continued to battle the invading Chings and gained renown and fame for his skill as a swordsman. With the aid of his lieutenants Bak Mei, Mew Hing, Jee Shin Shim Shee, and the nun Ng Mui, he organized a following of almost a million strong called the "Heaven And Earth Society". Fong Sai Yuk developed both a hard" form, Bok Fu, the way of the White Tiger; and a soft form that became to be known over the years as White Tiger Tai Chi. His skills in both Kung Fu, and herbal medicines earned him the name Jung Shee meaning "accomplished one" or grandmaster
